Quick Glance:
I’m a wife, an attorney, a dog owner, an aspiring chef, a daughter and a big sister, to name a few things. I was born in Thailand, but I’ve lived here in the U.S. since the age of 8.
I am married to a gorgeous and always loving husband named Cyrus. I admit it: he spoils me. We are owned by a Jack Russell Terror [sic] named Buddy, whom we love to spoil.
I became a licensed attorney since December 2006. I am blessed by a very fortunate circumstance where I can be a little picky in my job search. While searching for that good opportunity, I work as a contract attorney for various big firms in the San Diego County. The pay is lucrative, and I get time off between projects to pursue other endeavors.
What Makes Me Tick:
I love to read blogs, as well as posting them. Many bloggers feel the pressure of having to stick with one specific topic, but my intent is to use this forum to reflect my reactions and perspectives on all that I encounter in my life. My life is simple, but my experiences are rich.
I love beautiful things: if I find a product that is functional AND aesthetically pleasing, I will post an entry about it. I see beauty in how food is presented on a plate. I admire gorgeous landscapes, which is probably why I hope to stay in San Diego for a very long time. To me, pretty clothes, jewelry, etc. likely means such items were manufactured with an eye towards uniqueness.
I enjoy cooking and dining. Food keeps us alive, but there is no reason why one cannot make eating an enjoyable ritual, rather than just a necessity. Food unites us. I find satisfaction in cooking up a feast for my friends and family, as well as catching up with them over a meal at a restaurant.
I love to shop, and thus, I am very “girlie” in that sense. However, I will take my time in finding a bargain because that’s where the fun begins! I am careful at choosing unique, quality items and will not buy haphazardously just to own it.
I will pack my bags as soon as as my family or friends tell me they'd like to take a trip. I want to see the world in all of its glorious diversity. I want to trek through rain forests, ride elephants, climb the Eiffel Tower and tour Venice via its waterways.
I can be social, never lacking conversation, but I am mostly a home-body. I like to chill at home with my husband and dog, watching Law & Order, 24, Prison Break, or just reading a magazine. I used to read a lot of books, but I have not picked up a book since law school. I want to find that motivation to read a book again, and I feel that it is soon coming.
I have several weaknesses, but I will not admit this in public, as I am a very competitive person! Game on!
